The Association of Health Professions in Ophthalmology (AHPO) is a longstanding educational charity whose membership includes representatives from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and other professional bodies that deliver ophthalmic care within the NHS and for private providers. AHPO is the only body that offers accredited education and training for delivery of a comprehensive range of ophthalmic diagnostic tests. We provide a Level 4 Healthcare Science Apprenticeship, a Level 4 BTEC Diploma in Healthcare Science, and an AHPO-awarded Level 5 Diploma in Ophthalmic and Vision Science. We are committed to ensuring that all ophthalmic staff have knowledge and competence to provide accurate, consistent diagnostic test results and high quality, compassionate patient care.
