Training provider overview

Gen2 was established in June 2000 by five international companies with major operations within Cumbria - Sellafield Ltd, Innovia, Amec, Iggesund and Tata Steel. In May 2017 Gen2 joined the City & Guilds Group

Gen2 has 5 training centres across Cumbria. The quality of teaching and learning is a key company driver, leading to being awarded an Ofsted 'Outstanding' Grade 1 in 2011.

Gen2 works with over 300 national clients delivering a plethora of short courses and programmes from Level 2 to Level 7. Apprenticeships range from Level 2 to Level 6, with progression route into employment and HE including HNC, HND, Foundation Degree and BEng(Hons) Degrees. Short courses include Health and Safety, Engineering, Management, Project Management, IT and Education.
