Training provider overview

QinetiQ Apprentice Training School (QATS) was established in 1969 to train aircraft technicians and is situated at MOD Boscombe Down, Salisbury. Today the school has over 130 apprentices, from a number of different QinetiQ sites.

QATS delivers training in Advanced Level apprenticeships in four disciplines:

  • Engineering Maintenance (Electrical / Electronic Engineering);
  • Mechanical Manufacturing;
  • Aeronautical Avionics;
  • Aeronautical Mechanical.

We are committed to providing high quality training and support to successfully equip apprentices with the skills and attributes required by our Customers and to also be successful in their future careers. QATS is a City & Guilds Approved Training Centre, which is Science, Engineering, Manufacturing and Technologies Alliance (SEMTA) endorsed.
